TODAY YOU WILL MEET ME IN PARADISE
We have been trusting God for the salvation of Mr A.I for close to a year. He was a Muslim deeply involved in occult practices, a young man sold out to drug addiction. Highly revered in the village and much respected by the youths who he influenced greatly.
He however had a serious illness which he had been battling with for more than a year. When the sickness worsened he presented in our clinic, which gave us the needed platform to preach the gospel to him. He refused to accept Christ due to the fear of what the people will do to him. He later stopped coming for follow up and fell back on traditional means. When he deteriorated, he was taken to a bigger hospital, from there to a prayer house and finally back to his house.
Now at the end of himself and with the Holy Spirit at work, I was in his house that fateful day when he surrendered his life to Christ! Although we trusted God for a miraculous healing, the greatest miracle had occurred as this beloved one went to be with the Lord the following Sunday morning. The church buried him!
OPPORTUNITY TO HEAR
I was called to attend to the health of Mr M.A, an elderly man in the village I reside as a Missionary. His condition was a terminal one. I brought him in my car to the clinic to attend to him, and also visited in his house a couple of times, showing him God’s love before he passed away.
Although he did not confess Jesus to the best of my knowledge, he had the opportunity. Besides, no one could tell what happened minutes before his demise. This man was the custodian of Sango (god of thunder) deity worship in that village.
The above are few of the testimonies of what can happen when the rod of medical practice in our hands is given over to the Lord for His use. What could have just been a means of livelihood is turned in our hands to an instrument of deliverance of people from the tyrants of sin, suffering and shame. Remember Moses!
