The healthcare missionary team is more diverse than ever with national, ethnic, cultural, generational and educational differences becoming the norm in many, if not most healthcare mission settings. The success of national training programs has led to highly trained graduates who stay on with the team to serve and eventually participate in leadership. The priorities, needs, motivations, work habits, etc. of different team members will vary between cultures, generations, and nationalities. How do we face the future of healthcare missions and not just sustain these teams but leverage them for even greater effectiveness in fulfilling the Great Commission?
