GMHC 2023

Sharmayne has been involved in anti human trafficking efforts in developing countries for over 20 years. She speaks at conferences, churches, medical facilities and universities, and also founded a NGO that supports local and international safe houses and awareness/ prevention efforts. Sharmayne is chair of the CMDA Commission on Human Trafficking, is a medical liaison for the Rio Grande Valley Anti-Trafficking Taskforce, and serves on the Amazing Grace Ministries anti trafficking team.
