Ruth Van Reken has worked with issues related to global family living for all Third Culture Kid (TCK) communities e.g. international business, military, foreign service as well as missions for almost forty years. She is co-author of Third Culture Kids: Growing Up Among Worlds, 3rd ed, and co-founder of Families in Global Transition. She has spoken on this topic in over 50 countries during that time and received an honorary Litt.D. in 2019 from Wheaton College for her work in this area.
