Servicing medical technology is much more than simply fixing broken equipment. Appropriate technical support includes an understanding of technology management and applying those principles to improve the quality of healthcare and insure sustainability.

This session will focus on two objectives:
First, to encourage and educate mission hospitals to develop technology management programs. This includes teaching all staff, from management to clinical users and maintenance providers, on how to procure, use, and maintain their medical technologies.
Second, to encourage the training of national clinical and biomed hospital staff on how to service and maintain their equipment.
