Honor and Shame

How do we go out with a gospel that addresses the shame that peoples in many cultures experience deeply? The Bible speaks of the absence of shame in the beginning in Genesis, the hiding of the first man and woman, and the reality of shame continues all the way through to the book of Revelation! Further, medical conditions are commonly experienced with an accompanying sense of shame, including some which are caused by uncleanness, Biblical defilement.
Shame demands to be hidden. We are ashamed - lacking, unworthy, unholy and in need of being cleansed. Many peoples know that shame and are looking for how it can be taken from them.
Clean and honored! That is good news for many people - an understandable good news for healing of the soul.
