Shame & honor are an integral part of many cultures. Medical missions can both strengthen and integrate its ministry with different peoples through the good news that Jesus honors His people after cleansing them from the shame of defilement as well as bringing forgiveness from guilt. Interaction with Biblical texts as well as examples from Africa, Asia and the Middle East will offer a fuller understanding of medical missions in shame oriented cultures.
