Preparing for and serving in a Physical Therapy Clinic in a short term setting

Intended for Physical Therapist and Occupational Therapist s to learn how to prepare for and then serve in a therapy clinic on a short term ( 1-2 weeks) medical missions trip. This session will teach needed preparations and expectations of a short term physical therapy medical mission trip.

Objectives

To be able to prepare for a trip including the gathering and transport of therapy equipment.
To understand the expectations of the role of a therapist as a part of a short term medical missions team.
To recognise the potential types of patients and treatments that will be needed in a short term clinic.
