Empowering Indigenous Believers

Short term missions usually involve a team of people contributing their skills to an indigenous people group. When that team leaves the work often ends. This session will present an innovative alternative to that model, where sharing knowledge and skills with local believers empowers them to serve their people group long after the teaching team leaves!

Objectives

Encourage mission minded people to share knowledge and skills, not just skills.
Demonstrate how empowering can work to reach people groups not reachable by foreign workers.
Explore ways for attendees to use their individual gifts to empower others.
