There are certain dialectical tensions to serving overseas. One tension is launching a person to "go" but then equipping the same individual to be able to "stay." One way agencies, churches and people can help missionaries "stay" is answering the question of how to meet the unique social, spiritual, mental health and academic needs of "third culture kids." The healthier and better adjusted the TCK, the healthier the ministry.
